I can remember the first time I saw this Japanese native in spring at Wakehurst Place with it's beautiful shimmering silky new growth of burnished copper like floppy rabbit's ears. I had to have it!<br> A beautiful medium to large evergreen shrub, hardy except in the coldest gardens but ideally a sheltered site.<br> It does have small yellow flowers in the autumn but it is a foliage shrub, initially slow growing.<br> JUST A FEW LARGER 4LITRE PLANTS THAT REALLY NEED THE NEXT SIZE UP OR IDEALLY PUTTING IN THE GROUND.
