The hardiest of the scheffleras and certainly one of the most handsome when mature. Wider than high it can make a fabulous statement plant.
I grew one some years ago in a very posh pot at a big house I did a landscape job and it looked great. Being a rhododendron enthusiast I appreciate the thin indumentum under the leaf, very sexy. It's a good plant I have grown for years, babies from Ed Needham's garden who introduced it. It's a good do'er not miffy. Lovely white flowers in spikes in the Autumn.
