HIMALAYAN STRAWBERRY TREE

Cornus capiata is coming in to it's own now and will soon be covered with creamy-white bracts surrounding small green flowers (all makes up a flower as we call it) and is a very underrated large bush or small tree. It grows more tree like with a single stem/trunk than most cornus and of course in the autumn covered in strawberry like fruits which are edible (they don't taste very nice but more importantly they are not harmful....and the birds love them). Now I can supply the hardier Yunnan form it is really easy to grow. They are invaluable in my garden
